As long as it's not hunks of metal inside the pan I wouldn't worry too much. The fluids should be a bit gritty. For several reasons.
How did it work? I just picked up this glue
It worked well, I sold the vehicle 2 months ago and the mirror was still in the place I glued it :-) Good luck with your fix this weekend.
You get what you pay for
Thanks for keeping it simple and showing everything start to finish👊
Thanks for posting this. It was very helpful to me. Much appreciated.
Man give it up. You're no mechanic!
😂 True words... but I save a bunch of money by doing stuff myself 😉
Nice video very informative thanks for sharing 🤙🏽
This is very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you will be doing this this weekend
Great one! Does the wire that goes to the alternator needs an fuse? Im reemplacing starter wire, positive to fuse box( dont know which wire cal. It is, think cal 6 / cal 8) & alternator wire.
Can a 1 wire positive cable connect to 2 wire starter and still function?
I do not know the answer to your question. Sorry.
Ppreciate you Boss 🫡
Do you still have the bridge doctor in? I was going to use it but then it came to my mind the mass sucks away vibrations. If u just touch the block against the bridge (not having installed it) even just the corner of the block touching the bridge, you can hear a very noticeable and apparent difference in tone with it touching vs not touching. Now that doesn't mean it's not an effective device to use temporarily until the guitar is flat. Like using the thompson belly reducer but cheaper.
@walterbaker2324 I do still have it in. Its a permanent addition to my instrument now. In my opinion, I thought it helped increase the volume and tone of my Washburn D10. It takes the vibrations from the bridge area and expands them through the tail of the guitar as well. Also my reason for leaving the Bridge Dr in is I figure If I remove it, the Belly Bow will return over time.
Great video especially your going do upgrade on vehicle keep it running good.
Does changing the fluid cause the transmission to fail
Not in my experience.
Thanks for the video!
Great video great savings thanks for your help!!😊
21MM is the correct socket size.
Thank you for this, it was most helpful doing mine. So far so unbowed 😉
My old one 2000 I believe it was bolted to the floor and you had to remove two bolts on each side I think they were 13 mm 12 mm?
Mine were 14 mm head bolts. Might be a difference between model years. I don’t know 🤷🏻♂️
Buttalo!!
You make it look easy but its not, the damn pan is so herd to get off
I will accept the compliment, because you are correct. This is not an easy task 😊
@@WalterCombsLCSWdid you remove any exaust bolts to get it to move more?
@@ShoutingMeatball I did not. Just pushed with the pry bar.
Did IT worked?
It was a successful repair, yes. I showed more in part 2 and the final results in part 3. Watch them when you have time.
@@WalterCombsLCSW meaning The bulge Went lower after The himidifier process?
@@Kuyuks23 no. The bulge went lower after the installation of the Bridge Doctor.

Raising the neck by raising the dowel stick reduces the "back angle" of the neck relative to the pot which raised the action of the strings which required you to use a lower bridge. To keep the action low with the old bridge (for more volume) you could have raised the dowel end bolt too.
Thank you! WILL be doing this tommorow on my 97 chevy 1500.
Hey John, did you replace yours? I’m getting ready to use mine too and was wondering how long of a cable you got..
This is the best video on starters I’ve ever seen thank you my car is running now and I can get my kids home from college for thanksgiving
Try a laser pointer and some PB Blaster on the dirty bolts n nuts !!! Fellow DYIer
Thankyou!!!!
In fact, if you just drilled the high E pin to take the low E, everything could just go up one: the B pin for high E, G pin for B, etc without drilling them all out?
I feel like the banjolin was the result of someone thinking “what if we made the most obnoxious instrument possible”
How can we make this louder and sound like it’s playing though and tin can??? LOL 😂
@@WalterCombsLCSW hahah exactly. Great work though!
The problem with these mandolin banjo's is that they use the very high tension of standard mandolin strings. This goes against the grain because banjo's are low tension instruments and mandolins are high tension instruments. If you simply put lower tension strings on a mandolin, you will have intonation so bad that it would be unplayable. If you use a multi scale fret board. Like a fourteen inch E and a fifteen inch G string all of the intonation problems dissapear .
This is great information and I will be looking into it further. Probably next year. All my hobbies are on hold as I focus on my career. I have this instrument in parts again. My plan is to spin the pot 180° and redrill the holes and reset the neck. Basically, start over. And I will be certainly looking into modifying the strings. 👍
did u have problems shifting at first
Yes. Sometimes it would shift hard. I have had no problems since the job was completed.
@@WalterCombsLCSW awesome did u get 'em or offbrand
@@albertomaytorena5852 I got mine off Amazon website Here is a link you can check. Double check it fits your year car before ordering. But since it’s the same transmission it “should” be ok. But sometimes “should” just doesn’t always mean yes. a.co/d/awcBO2n
does anyone know if this transmission is the same for 98 chevy astro 4.3
It is my understanding the 4L60E transmission worked on here was also the transmission used in the Chevy Astro Van from 1996-2005.
When you start with "my mother passed this to me" it sounds like you're saying you got it from your mom who just died. Who the fuck says anyone passes something to anyone. Southern hicks who are looking for upvotes. None forthcoming.
I use it for lube😊
He is making up the criteria... Skip it and just install the Bridge Doctor and stop over-thinking it...
Just sharing my experience. I would love to see your video of bridge doctor installation. I’m quite receptive to positive comment of improvement. Please share your link. Thank you.
@@WalterCombsLCSW I have no link to share because I installed a Bridge Doctor and did not film it for any reason.
@@DougHinVA nice 👍. Did your bridge doctor do what you wanted it to do? Did you use the brass pins like I did? Or drill a small hole? I wasn’t brave enough to drill. Maybe now, years later. But not then.
How heavy is the starter? I would like to replace mine. I'm a 71 year old woman, but I think I could do it. Maybe. I lost my husband and I don't know anyone who can help me. If it's not too heavy, maybe.
I’m pretty sure it’s almost 15 lbs. I double checked and found most websites agree on 14.2-14.8 lbs with one saying 8.9 But I remember that one I replaced was bowling ball weight feeling.
@@WalterCombsLCSW thanks sweetie! 🥰
I can not find mine on the 1999 ford expedition 😔
I found this video. 5 months ago a guy added this video. Hope it helps you. ruclips.net/video/GkLJsyq48yw/видео.html
I CAN NOW TRANSPORT A DESK TO PENNSYLVANIA.
Thank you for sharing this!
Very simple explanation of the process. Now I think I can do it myself and save money. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video. It seems like you should install the other 5 pins first and the Bridge Doctor pin last so you have more room to work on the other pins. 11:45 p.s. It looks like you installed the pins in the wrong order. 12:08 This only rotates the bridge in one direction. It's not meant to help side to side.
When your cel was coming on, was your transmission going into limp mode? I'm getting a P0758 malfunction in solenoid B and it goes into limp mode until I plug in the scan tool and clear the code, then it's fine.
My experience was some very hard shifts and some NOT shifting when I expected it to shift. For me it never entered limp mode.
After replacing solenoids, is there a relearn procedure for TCM or were you able to erase the codes and have normal transmission function?
@christopherlucas-uh3dh I used my OBD reader machine to clear my codes. I drove it and never experienced the trouble again. I hope you have the same experience.
How many?
How many what?
Never mind ..found it.thanks
Rear wheel
Awesome. Thanks!
I wonder if it has effect on the sound.
Maybe it’s just wishful thinking on my part or the placebo effect, but I think it resonates a little stronger through the body of the guitar 😉
Im having the same problem and the other two wires to the other post
